Europe
In 2002-2004, three trips to Bulgaria to teach pastors and their spouses laid the groundwork for what would become Faith, Hope, and Love Global Ministries a few years later. Today, our work in Europe focuses on France and Ukraine.
Our European home base is Chartres, France, where Faith, Hope, and Love actively collaborates with the Chemin Neuf Community, a Catholic order devoted to building bridges to and working together with other branches of Christianity. Annually, we conduct a French language spiritual retreat, in Chartres, France that draws on the Ignatian exercises, spiritual life coaching, and the magnificent resources of the Chartres Cathedral. We also provide leadership consulting and coaching in behalf of a local Protestant congregation.
In Ukraine, we have taught short term, intensive courses at the Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary. In this former Soviet bloc country, many students come from countries other than Ukraine, where they routinely risk discrimination and persecution for their faith. Materials are translated into Russian.
